Tim Holtz just released his new Holiday Distress Collection – including new Distress Mica Sprays, pastes and sparkle glitter! What’s Mica Spray, you ask? Good question! It’s Distress Spray with shimmer! Before I dive into my project, here’s a photo of the collection!

I wish I could’ve used it all, but it’s a busy month. I hope to use them on future projects though! I just got these products yesterday and wanted to show you a project and let you know that all these new products are ready to ship now from Simon Says Stamp!

To show off these new mica sprays, I used the Simon Says Stamp Holiday Greenery Embossing Folder and embossed a white panel. Then I spritzed it with the Holly Branch and Tree Lot greens. When it was dry, I dropped some of the red Peppermint Stick color onto a palette and painted the berries.

I wanted even more interest, so I colored the holly leaves with the Tree Lot color using a paint brush. I gave the entire panel more texture by splattering white paint all over. The shimmer is amazing – I wish you could see it in real life (I guess you’ll have to get some for your holiday cards!)
