Hi, Friends!

I’m celebrating back to school with today’s card using products from the STAMPtember Release. Cathy Zielske designed the A+ Die as well as the Love That Student set. I paired them with the Ledger Paper Background for a clean and fun card.

I started by stamping my Ledger Paper Background using Spring Rain ink. Then I used a Festive Berries Distress Marker to draw over the margin line to imitate notebook paper. Did you know that margins were used back in the old days to save handwritten notes from being destroyed by mice and rodents? I can’t remember where I learned that – but it’s neat to know!

To make my A+ Die stand out, I did some paper stripping and die-cut the halo out of it. I did die-cut the latter too, as you can see in the background, but felt it was too bright for this card and opted for a white layer instead. I die-cut the A+ three times in white to stack for dimension.

I finished by stamping and embossing the student sentiment from the Love That Student set. This is such a fun card and simple card for students and teachers and is definitely going to get used a lot since I still have young ones in school. I hope you like it!
