It’s the start of a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! We have an inspiration board to share with you and hope it inspires you to create!
You can create a fall card or something sky-related…however you interpret it! I created a fall card today and created a pop-up card. I don’t see the Stitched Hillside Pop -Up die used frequently and thought it would be fun to use it.
My card today features the Jump For Joy stamp set. I stamped and colored it with Copic markers. When done, I die-cut the images and set it aside to work on the all the other elements for my card.
Reds: R32, R35, R39
Oranges: Y35, YR01, YR04, YR09
Browns: [E40, E41, E42, E43], [E30, E31, E34, E37], [E000, E21, E11, E13, E17]
Blush: R30
I used the Leafy Tree Backdrop: Landscape die to make a fall tree and border using woodgrain cardstock. I also die-cut the Stitched Tree Borders in woodgrain cardstock as well to create some perspective on the card. These three layers make up the background of the card. I ink-blended the leaves using Walnut Stain, Spiced Marmalade, and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide Inks and sprayed them with water before die-cutting them from the Leafy Tree Backdrop die. Before adhering, I ink-blended the sky with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks.
The Stitched Hillside Pop-Up mechanism is die-cut from Cilantro cardstock that I ink-blended with Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink. Once adhered, I filled my scene with the images I colored and finished by stamping my sentiments.
I hope you like it! This pop-up card folds flat and is so fun. You can decorate the outside of the card too, but truthfully, I fell ill while making this card and never finished it. I will if I decide to mail it.
