Spellbinders – Scare a Crow

Hi, Friends!

I’m sharing a card today from the Spellbinder’s Happy Harvest Collection from Nichol Sphor! I’ll be sharing a few more as the month goes on, but my first card today is my favorite! It uses the Scare a Crow set that I absolutely adore!

I used Simon Says Stamp cardstock for all my images today: Green Apple, Green Leaf, Lemon Chiffon, Cream, Orange Peel, Burnt Orange, Cornflower, Slate, Fog, Lipstick Red.

I added color to the colored cardstock using Copic markers. Yep – Copics over colored cardstock is an easy way to add shade!

Reds:  R32, R35, R39
Oranges:  Y19, YR04
Greens:  G12, G14, G16
Blues:  B91, B95, B97
Browns:  E30, E33, E35
Grays:  W5, W7, W110
Blush: R20

My background is ink-blended with Distress Oxide Inks: Gathered Twigs, Mowed Lawn, Bundled Sage, Scattered Straw, Tattered Rose.

I finished by stamping my sentiment using the Fall Greetings stamp set from the same collection by Nichol. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. Wow, Caly, I never thought I would say that a scarecrow was so beautiful! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Such a lovely card. So beautiful. Speaking of beautiful, you look so beautiful on Simon Says Stamp WCMD video. You look so lovely. šŸ’œ I laughed when I read your comment on YouTube regarding the pronunciation of everyone’s name and hoping its correct. I laughed because I wonder how people are guessing about the pronunciation of my name especially my crafty blog friends from around the world. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ A wonderful card, Caly. Have a beautiful day. šŸŒžšŸ˜ŽšŸŒž

    1. HAHA. Thanks, Marisela! I grew up in CA and had lots of hispanic/latino friends so I’m pretty sure I know how to pronounce your name – with a roll in the “r” too. hehe.
