Hello again!
Welcome back for more Peace on Earth Release inspiration! Today, I’m using the Winter Birds set. My card only shows a smidge of what this 6″ x 8″ set encompasses! There are several birds and two branches along with other lose images on this gorgeous stamp set – not to mention the wonderful sentiments!
I began by stamping and coloring the images with Copic markers.
Reds: R32, R35, R37, R39
Oranges: YR61, YR68
Greens: [G40, YG06, YG09], [G21, G24, G29]
Grays: C00, C0, C2, C4, C6, C8
Browns: E40, E41, E42, E43
To give my branch and foliage more interest, I added glitter by using some Glossy Accents and Simon Says Stamp Unicorn Dust glitter. While that dried, I ink-blended a white card panel with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink. I applied it to one corner and let it fade into white. Next, I attached my images and then splattered the entire panel with gold and white paint paint.
I finished my card by embossing a sentiment over black cardstock using gold embossing powder. There is a coordinating die for this sentiment, which I absolutely love! I finished by adding some iridescent sequins to my card.
I am planning on making another card with this set! I want to use all the images! It’s just so beautiful. I hope you like this card! Thanks so much for visiting today!

Cardinals love to gnaw on my plants, but, oh, they sure are beautiful! The two who came every day to gnaw on my succulents (especially when it got really hot) were “married.” I named them Bonnie and Clyde because, like their namesakes who stole, worked together to steal chunks of my plant. The single juvenile I named Chubby Cakes. And who knows what they called me?!?! 😂😂😂 Beautiful card, Caly.

Down along the Rio Grande River (the Texas/Mexico border) there are birds called Greenjays. They are identical to Bluejays except they are green! I had never heard of them until I watched a travel show. It’s weird to see them look identical to Bluejays, but in green. They’re beautiful, but it takes some getting used to. We have Cardinals during Winter. Of course, our “Winter” doesn’t compare to your Winter. So, I have turf wars going on year round with Cardinals and squirrels. Both destroy my plants so I am ready to have a little squirrel funeral in my backyard. I told her (the squirrel) that I am going to make a Davy Crockett type of coon skin hat, but with a squirrel tail hanging down the back instead. 😂😂😂😂 If you can, look up Greenjays. 💜 Have a beautiful day, Caly.
