Hey Friends!

I hope you’re excited about today’s Tim Holtz Distress color reveal!!! It’s a beautiful deep purple called Villainous Potion – available and shipping now from Simon Says Stamp! I made a quick project to share this new color to compare it with colors that are available now.

I ink-blended a white panel with Villainous Potion, Wilted Violet, and Shaded Lilac from top to bottom, saturating the cardstock heavily. Next, I used a Stitched Rectangle to give the panel a nice border before running it through my die-cutting machine with the panel sandwiched inside the Cute Ghosts Embossing Folder.

To enhance the color on these cute ghosts, I lightly brushed over the top of my ink-blended panel and used only the residual ink from my blender brush to add the dark Villainous Potion color over the top of the raised areas from the Cute Ghosts Embossing Folder.

I die-cut a Little Boo ghost from white and Matte Silver Cardstock and backed the eye openings with black cardstock. I offset the ghost die-cuts for interest (got this idea from Shari Carroll) and adhered it over my ink-blended panel. To finish, I attached a sentiment from the Reverse Spooky Salutations Sentiment Strips and embellished with some Orca Sequins.
