Hello Friends!
I’m excited to share another snowflake card today. I’m using the Birch Press Designs Frosty Flakes Layering Set. I’ve admired this set for so long. I say that about a lot of older products that I can no longer resist buying. This set is a set of 3 dies that layer beautifully to create lots of dimension and color.
My card today uses teal cardstock in different shades. I used Simon Says Stamp cardstock. The darkest color is Audrey Blue, then Surf Blue, then Mint. For each layer, I used Distress Oxide Inks to darken the center of the snowflake die-cuts (Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina, and Cracked Pistachio, respectively).
After layering the 3 layers, I cut two more in white of Layer 1 (the top layer) in white and staggered them to make the snowflake more full. For the background, I opted for white, but used the Simon Says Stamp Filigree Snowflake 3D Embossing Folder to give it texture.
I finished by attaching a sentiment from the Reverse Brr Sentiment Strips and embellishing my snowflake with some
Marshmallow Pearls from Pretty Pink Posh. I hope you enjoyed this! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

It’s quite lovely. I love the soft wintery colors. I’m wondering how it would look if the snow flake were made into an ornament. How well would they last through the holiday season hanging on a tree? Hmmmm.. Oh yeah, I do agree that they are very expensive. Before your post, I didn’t know about Birch Press so I checked it out. Too costly for me. But very nice designs.

Wow, Caly! What gorgeous colors. So lovely and Wintery. Beautiful choice. 💜 I love Birch Press also, but yikes! haha haha While you have two sets, I only have HALF of a set and only because I won it. 😂😂😂

I love this card Caly, it is gorgeous! I have wanted some Birch Press dies for a long time, you just made me want them even more! And I love the colors too, they are a great combo!

This is a gorgeous card! I love snowflakes! I think it’s because I live in Florida even though I’ve seen my fair share of them but it’s only when we go out west to ski. Cannot wait for SSS to get it back in stock. I have all the other snowflakes, Kristina has designed for SSS.

Hi Tami! Maybe a shim would help? I use a metal shim under my cutting plates.
