The Handmade Holiday Release is here! It’s filled with lots of fun stencils and 3D embossing folders for quick and simple handmade holiday cards. My card today features a set of two fun new stencils: the Layered Holiday Grid Stencils. There are also new Glitz Glitter Gels in rainbow colors! I used the red and green on my card today to give it some texture and glitter.

I began by masking and ink-blending one row at a time, alternating the pattern every other row using Pawsitively Saturated Inks. The first, middle and last rows are ink-blended with Cheeky and Blush. The other rows in between are ink-blended with Pucker and Pearfection. That completes the ink-blending of the simple grid stencil.

For the more decorative of the two Layered Holiday Grid Stencils I ink-blended with the same color family, using a darker shade on the pinks. I chose a few blocks to glam up with the Cherry and Pearfection Glitz Glitter Gels. They add lots of color and shine! I should probably mention also that the stencil is a 6″ x 6″. I didn’t use one of the columns and ink-blended the pattern on a 5″ x 7″ panel.

I cut my panel down with an even border all the way around and adhered it to a card base just slightly bigger. I started with a 5″ x 7″ card base and trimmed off the top after adhering the panel with foam adhesive to give it dimension. I finished by using my white gel pen to add some highlights to the letters and images in the grids. I hope you like it! Thanks so much for stopping by.
