Welcome! I’m sharing a card made using a DieCember exclusive from Hero Arts for Simon Says Stamp. I found that the Winter Trees Embossing Folder is a perfect pairing with the Deer Window die so I began first by die-cutting the window using white cardstock. Next, I embossed the winter trees onto the die-cut panel. To give the panel some color, I ink-blended some Latte ink across the top and some Marine ink in the center of the panel below the tree line. I added some easy shading to the trees and colored the deer with Copic markers (R20, E30, E31, E34, E37)

For the background, I masked the edges off a cardbase and ink-blended a background using Cadette and Taffy Pawsitively Saturated Ink. This prevents me from having to use up another panel, but using another panel would be just as easy if you don’t want to fuss with masking. I then splattered both panels with white and light blue paint to mimic snow falling.

I wanted snow on the ground, so I took some Glossy Accents and drew a border along the bottom and used my finger to swipe an even layer down towards the bottom of the panel. While still wet, I covered it with Unicorn Dust. I let it dry about 5 minutes and finished by attaching my card front to the background/card base using foam adhesive for dimension, then added a sentiment strip from the Thinking of You Sentiment Strips.
