I have a dainty card to share with you today using products from Simon Says Stamp’s To The Moon release. I love the Peony and Leaves die, but didn’t get a chance to play with it last month. Today’s card uses multiple die-cuts to create a framed background.

I started first by ink-blending a background using Distress Oxide inks. I used Tattered Rose for the center, then added Victorian Velvet around that, then finished with Shaded Lilac. I worked the colors back and forth until I was happy with the blend.

Next, I splattered the panel for interest and set it aside to dry while I die-cut the Peony and Leaves die 5 fives using a heavy white cardstock. I positioned it where I wanted and then used Glad Press N’ Seal to hold the die-cuts in place, lifted them all up at once to add adhesive on the back, then turned them over to adhere them to my ink-blended panel. Next, I used my trimmer and cut off the excess. I also cut off a quarter inch of the panel to mat a card base as well. I used the excess bits to adhere to the panel to fill in any openings on the ink-blended panel to make my frame more full.

For the sentiment, I embossed stamps from the So Much Love set with gold embossing powder. There is a coordinating die that cuts the word Love perfectly and I just trimmed the remaining sentiment into a tidy strip. This card was finished with a few iridescent sequins from Trinity Stamps.
