Gina K. Designs’ most recent release just went live and I’m excited to share a project made using the Spring Floral Background set, illustrated by Hannah Drapinski. Check out the full release HERE! This gorgeous background image is a standalone image on a 6″ x 8″ stamp set and nearly covers and A2 sized panel as you can see from my project.

I stamped and embossed my image in gold over white cardstock and began coloring it with Copic markers. There are 4 different flowers (maybe 5?) that I could identify, so I colored them in different colors to bring them to life.

Pinks: [R81, R83, R85], [RV00, RV02, RV04, RV09]
Peaches:  R11, R12, R14
Purples:  BV0000, BV00, BV11, BV13
Greens:  [YG06, YG09], [G21, G24, G28]

When I was done coloring all the flowers and foliage, I decided I wanted to color the background as well. I usually use black when I do this, but this time, I went with a dark teal and chose BG49. I carefully filled in all the white areas, then fussy-cut the entire image. I did this because I wanted the image to have dimension so I found Peacock Teal cardstock to pop it up onto with foam adhesive. I was blown away that this cardstock was nearly identical to the BG49 that I used!

I embossed my sentiment in gold over the same Peacock Teal cardstock and layered that over my image as well. To finish today’s card, I also added some embellishments using Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops. I love the stark white against a colorful card like this and hope you like it too!
