Hi, Friends!

In a recent video, I made a Basic Box Card card using the Love Day set. I’ll link the video below if you missed it. Today’s card is more colorful and I added a shaker front to it to make it even more interesting. Instead of using the Basic Box Card Cloud Dies, I used the Basic Box Card Heart Dies.

If anything, I hope the video referenced will help you visualize how I put the box together. For my card today, I used patterned paper for my box and glitter and pink cardstock for the inside panels.

To create my shaker, I fully assembled my box, then added acetate to the front of my box. Using foam tape, I created a shaker window, added some sequins and then sealed it with another layer of acetate. Then for a decorative border, I used the scallop die from the Basic Box Card Heart Dies and cut it out of purple glitter cardstock.

I used the same Crafter’s Consortium patterned paper for my box that Kristina Werner used on hers so it might seem familiar. It’s just a beautiful array of colors. While the shaker front may seem busy in the photo, the box panels create interest that isn’t captured well in the photo.

My sentiment uses the I Think I’ll Keep You die. The top layer is a white layer that I ink-blended with Pawsitively Saturated Inks. This ink-blended layer is off-set over a piece of Doll Pink Cardstock, which I also used for one of the layers on the inside of the box.
