Lawn Fawnatics – Challenge #118 – Color My World

Hi Friends!

I’m on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog today with a solo post! I want to share my second Clean and Simple card for this challenge with you here today too! I made it colorful using a single image from the Color My World set!  There are a few days left to participate in this challenge and I hope you’ll play along! You have until Sunday February 20th, 2022 at 11:59pm PT to link up your projects.

I love that this challenge gives me the chance to use the mini sets that I have.  The Color My World set is a single image but the color possibilities and layouts are endless!  You can make it as clean and simple as you want, or as elaborate as you want.

I stamped and colored 6 images in rainbow order using Copic markers. Since the pops of color are the star of this card, I took my time and blended a few colors on every crayon.

Reds:  R21, R22, R24, R27
Oranges: YR00, YR61, YR65, YR68
Yellows: Y00, Y11, Y13, Y15
Greens:  G12, YG06, YG07, YG09
Blues:  BG01, BG02, BG05, BG07
Purples:  V01, V04, V06, V09

To make a colorful background, I used Lawn Fawn Mini Ink Cubes in Lobster, Carrot, Lemonade, Jalapeno, Forget-Me-Not, and Juice Box. I used one of the corners of each ink cube to swipe at an angle.  Them I used the largest of the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies to die-cut a stitched panel for my crayons.

I used foam adhesive to adhere each of my crayons over the coordinating ink swipes.  I trimmed off the excess overhang of the crayons, then finished by stamping my sentiment and adhering my card panel over a card base.

I hope you like this clean and simple card!  This is a fun challenge and I hope you’ll find time to participate if you haven’t already!  Thanks so much for visiting today! Again, you have until Sunday February 20th, 2022 at 11:59pm PT to link up your projects!

  1. Hi, Caly – You did a PHENOMENAL job matching the LF ink to the Copic blends. Wow!! Love that you chose to use a set that has been out for a while. Your card is superb!!

  2. Hola, Caly. I have most of my crayons because if I didn’t take care of my things, I got spanked and my parents would not buy me any more so I learned to take care of my things and keep my things safely stored away. Once I got older, I just couldn’t part with them. I’ll share a secret with you. Well, another one 😂😂, I have used crayons (new ones) to color on my cards. I thought I was the only one, but a crafty friend once confided in me that she had used crayons on a few of her cards, too. Hey, it worked and no one could tell the difference. 😀 I still have my Mickey Mouse watch that my parents bought me at Disneyland when I was 6 years old. It still works and the jeweler offered me $1,000, but I wouldn’t sell it for a million dollars. 💜 Have a great day, Caly!
