This Thankful Magnolia set is designed by my friend, Emily Midgett. Emily has several floral sets in this release and I’m certain you’ll see lots of inspiration using her illustrations! For my card today, I did no-line watercoloring with Daniel Smith Watercolors.

After watercolor, to add more depth and details, I also used Polychromos colored pencils to add some veins and additional shading to the petals.

Daniel Smith:  Quinacridone Magenta, Carbazole Violet, Quinacridone Gold, Hooker’s Green, Sap Green, Sepia

Polychromos:  Magenta, Middle Purple Pink, Walnut Brown, Dark Cadmium Yellow, Blue Violet, Chrome Oxide Green, Permanent Green Olive

On a card base, I ink-blended with Sage ink and adhered my image with foam adhesive. To give it more interest, I splattered the card with white paint. While it sat to dry, I stamped and embossed my sentiment and fussy-cut around the letters to adhere to my card.
