Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh Release Blog Hop! Today is Day 1 and I hope you’ll see lots of inspiration with the new fabulous May Release products! I’m using two new sets today and will share more later this week with an Instagram Hop so stay tuned!

These Spring Foliage dies are just so pretty! There is a big assortment of flowers and foliage and creates a lot of interest. Instead of cutting the pieces in various colors, which takes a lot of time (die-cutting AND ink-blending), I opted for watercoloring. I was able to run the entire die through the die-cutting machine with watercolor paper to watercolor it all at once.

After die-cutting, I tried my best to keep all the pieces together in their negative and popped the few back in that fell out and began watercoloring all the flowers in rainbow colors and the foliage in different shades of green using Daniel Smith watercolors. After watercoloring (they dried right away), I popped them out and splattered them with white paint to give them interest.

For the background, I die-cut a stitched white panel and ink-blended it with some green ink before creating my floral spray. Then I used the stamps and dies from the Celebration Scripts set for my sentiment. I went to a “wildflower” baby shower and this card was perfect for the occasion! I finished by embellishing my card with 4mm Clear Droplets.
