The May Pretty Pink Posh Release kicked off earlier this week. I’m back today with more cards using additional products and am participating in an Instagram Hop today. Today’s projects include new layering stencils and crafty stamps.
Both cards use images from the Crafty Critters set. I thought they both worked great with the crafty stencils I used. Both cards also use sentiments from the Crafty Sentiments set.
I started first with the Crafty Background Stencils. There are three stencils in this set and you can certainly use 3 colors for simplicity. I wanted my card to have lots of colors, so I used small blender brushes so I could really blend smaller areas without cleaning the stencil between ink colors.
I used the Stitched Photo Frames from Pretty Pink Posh as backgrounds for the sentiments and critters. I didn’t want to completely cover up the backgrounds so I used vellum in the photo frame windows.
My second card uses the Layered Letters Stencils. This set also comes with 3 stencils and is more simple. Again, I chose to make it colorful and used small blender brushes to focus on each envelope so I didn’t need to wash my stencil between colors.
My final layer of the stencil are those hearts. I ink-blended first with red ink but wanted it to be more interesting, so I used Glitz Glitter Gel to make it more interesting.
