Today is a bonus Lawn Fawn Day! The team is featuring the Tree House Dies for Inspiration Week. If you missed my release post yesterday, click on the “home” button above and look for that post to see all the cards I made for this release! The Tree House Dies can be used to create cards with the addition of lots of other images – fairies, bunnies, squirrels – Lawn Fawn has lots of great critters!

My card today features only the dies from the Tree House Dies. I wanted to keep my first card using these dies more simple – as simple as you can get with the fabulous dies that are included in this set. I wanted to show that you can create a full scene using just these dies.

I die-cut all the pieces in colored cardstock and woodgrain cardstock for the tree trunk and ink-blended them with Distress Oxide Inks to give them shading. I also added texture by splattering ink on the background and tree canopy.

Distress Oxide Inks used:  Peacock Feathers, Hickory Smoke, Vintage Photo, Bundled Sage, Lucky Clover, Broken China

Cardstock: Woodgrain Light Brown, Vanilla Malt, Chili Pepper, Guava, Mermaid, Cilantro

To finish my card, I embossed a sentiment from the Happy Village set. Simple and fitting. I think this die would be great to use on a slimline card for a bigger canvas for a fun scene! I hope you can see the potential of this fun die set! Thanks so much for visiting!
