Gina K. Designs – Beautiful Blooms

The Gina K. Designs June release is here! I’m sharing a watercolor card using Distress Inks. I have the pleasure of using another set illustrated by Arjita Singh called Beautiful Blooms.

I stamped and embossed the image over Distress Watercolor Paper and began watercoloring like areas. I started with the lilies and watercolored them using Abandoned Coral Ink. Then, I watercolored the purple flowers with Wilted Violet. When done, I moved onto the foliage using Rustic Wilderness and Crushed Olive. The centers of the flowers use small dabs of Mustard Seed Ink.

There is a coordinating die, so when I finished, I die-cut my bouquet and splattered it with white paint. I set it aside to work on the background, which is ink-blended with Abandoned Coral and Wilted Violet ink.

I embossed my sentiments and used a coordinating die to cut the word “Sending” and cut my sub-sentiment into a strip to adhere to my card. My card today is slightly bigger than a mini slimline – it is 3.5″ by 6.5″ and there is still a slight overhang from the image, but I really didn’t want to trim any of it! I hope you like it!
