Welcome to Waffle Flower’s July Release Blog Hop! I hope you’ll find lots of inspiration today as we celebrate this awesome release! I know it’s only July, but we’ve got to start planning those holiday cards at some point and this release is sure to get those ideas rolling in!

I created 3 cards today using a few products from this release. Here is a list of the products used:

• Merry Christmas Foil Plate
• Radiating Diamond Frame
• Layered Winter Bird

I started first by ink-blending the Layered Poinsettia Stencil Duo. I couldn’t decide on red or pink so I have one of each! This first card is the created with the pink version. To give it dimension, I layered a piece of white glitter panel die-cut using the Radiating Diamond Frame. I die-cut the Layered Winter Bird die and pieced together my cardinal and ink-blended the pine sprigs to layer over that. To finish, I attached a simple sentiment from the Merry Christmas Duo stamp set.

My second card is a much simpler version and uses the red panel that I ink-blended using the Layered Poinsettia Stencil Duo. For this card, I foiled the sentiment in gold using the Merry Christmas Duo Foil Plate and die-cut it with the coordinating Merry Christmas Duo die. I’m sad it doesn’t show up well in the photo, but it’s shinny metallic gold!

My final card uses the Snowy Pine Tree Stencil. I love the simplicity of this stencil and the white space it provides. After finishing a panel, I die-cut lots of pine branches and a cardinal from the Layered Winter Bird die set and created a bed for my foiled Merry Christmas Duo Foil Plate sentiment. Since these block letters are open, I used some light pink Copic markers to color them (R000, R30, R32). I finished by adding a the small cardinal to sit right over the M.
