Hey friends!!

I’m sharing a fun interactive Lawn Fawn card today and have a video! I had so much fun making the card using the Mermazing Mermaid die for Lawn Fawn’s June Inspiration Week and wanted to create a Platform Pop-Up too.

I used the same colors so it looks nearly identical (with the exception of the narwhal and one project being interactive! Be sure to check out the video below to see how this Platform Pop-Up card is made!

I began by piecing together my Mermazing Mermaid, which I colored with Copic markers. I also stamped and colored images from the Mermaid For You and the Mermaid For You Flip-Flop sets.

Copics used:
Oranges:  Y11, Y19, YR09
Pinks:  YR01, RV42, RV55
Blues:  B00, B02, B05
Teals:  BG11, BG13, BG18
Browns:  E30, E34, E39
Skin:  R20, E000, E51, E11
Grays:  W1, W3, W5, W7

I ink-blended the top section with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink, then I used the stencil and ink-blended Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire to get Sunrays. I used the Platform Pop-Up Add-On die and did some partial die-cutting to make the backdrop longer so all my images could stay inside the backdrop.

The Platform Pop-Up base is created using light kraft cardstock that I ink-blended with Vintage Photo Ink and dotted with some Copic markers for a sandy look. Before assembling, I stamped my sentiment first to make things easier. After putting it all together, I had so much fun building my scene with the images I colored. There are 4 total layers of images including the box front and I added floating images using acetate strips.

The best part about this pop-up card is that it’s collapses and fits inside an envelope for easy mailing! I love that the scene is still visible and fun when it’s collapsed upward – my daughter says she’s sitting on a sand hill and it sort of looks like that! I hope you like this card!!
