Honey Bee Stamps – Lovely Layers Peony

Hello friends!

I have a paper-layering flower card to share today using the Lovely Layers Peony die set from Honey Bee Stamps!

My peonies are die-cut with light pink cardstock from Simon Says Stamp in Cotton Candy and ink-blended with Pawsitively Saturated Ink to darken each lower layer. The very top layer (and only layer) is die-cut using Ballet Slipper from Concord & 9th and it is slightly lighter than the Cotton Candy cardstock.

After ink-blending each layer, I pieced the peony together and ink-blended the foliage using green ink. I curled the petals on each of the peony layers and used foam adhesive in some areas to create dimension. On a white panel, I arranged my peony and peony buds around a bed of foliage. Once I was happy with the arrangement, I adhered the foliage down first, then the buds, then the center peony bloom.

I finished my card today by embossing a sentiment from the Birthday Wishes set and embellished my card with some gems from the Aurora Borealis Gem Stickers pack. I hope you like this card – layering paper flowers is one of my favorite types of cards to make!
