Hey Friends!

Altenew’s release today is filled with their subscriptions products/kits for July! I’m sharing two cards and hope you’ll join the blog hop for more inspiration! Be sure to check out the Altenew Blog where the party starts!

I used the same color palette on both cards, but one is more involved than the other depending on the subscription you are interested in. My first card uses the Craft Your Life Always Sunshine project kit. It comes with a stamp, die, coordinating stencils and an embossing folder.

I begin by stamping and embossing my image in black. This ensures my black ink doesn’t smear with the ink-blending using stencils.

Inks used: Yellow Ochre, Sweet Leaf, Just Green, Purple Wine, Puffy Heart, Ultraviolet, Wisteria

The coordinating die is so nice because it allows me to add dimension to my card. Since this kit comes with an embossing folder, I went ahead and embossed my background for more interest. I lightly ink-blended over the top with Sweet Leaf Ink to give it some color too. I attached my image with foam adhesive and splattered it with white and black paint and then finished with a sentiment strip.

My second card uses the Build-A-Garden Tulips & Friends set. This set is more simple and comes with just the stamp and stencil set. So created a one-layer card that is still just as colorful and impactful. I started the same way by embossing the stamped image and ink-blending using the coordinating stencils.

Again, I splattered it with white and black paint for texture. For my sentiment, instead of stamping a sentiment strip, I stamped directly on the card panel for a true one-layer card. To give it some extra interest, I also added a frame simply by using a pen and ruler.

I finished both cards by attaching some pearls. to give them a bit of shine. I hope you enjoyed both these cards. Be sure to check out the full blog hop below for more inspiration!
