Hello again!
I’m back today to share inspiration for the My Favorite Things July release! If you’ve seen the countdown posts from the MFT Design Team, you’ve probably seen a lot of amazing inspiration! I’ve got two cards to share today using a few products from the latest release.
I love using happy products and making them colorful so today’s cards are birthday and rainbow-themed! Here are the products I’m using today:
My first card uses the Wish Big Dies. These simple candles are delightful and I love that they’re slender, yet detailed with their wicks and flames. I die-cut a rainbow of them, die-cut their wicks in gray and their flames in yellow and added some additional color with an orange marker.
I attached my candles using foam adhesive and staggered them in length for interest. At the bottom, I stamped the word birthday using the Happy Happy Birthday stamp set. I did the large happy over vellum using black ink and clear embossing powder and wrapped it around the card panel. To finish, I used glossy accents over the flames to give them some shine.
My second card uses the Happy Swish Die that I also die-cut in rainbow order using the same cardstock as in my first card for the candles (leaving out the blue). I adhered it right over a white panel, then worked on the images from the Sweet Treats set.
I stamped and colored the fun treat images in rainbow colors. After die-cutting, I added some glossy accents to them to add chunky glitter for extra shine and interest. I adhered them over the rainbow Happy Swish using foam adhesive for dimension. I finished by attaching an embossed sentiment that I fussy cut.
