Hi Friends!
I created a fun background for today’s card using the Horizon Lines Stencil from the Simon Says Stamp Dream Big release. The stencil comes with 5 different horizons (hills, clouds, winter pine, cityscape, and park). My card today uses just the hills and I did some easy masking to create color waves all the way down a panel.
There are 3 different hillside horizon lines on the Horizon Lines Stencil and I weaved my cardstock between two hillsides to add color. I weaved my way around different areas of the stencil, front and back to get different designs, making sure to get full coverage and cover up any white areas of cardstock.
I used the lightest ink-pad from several sets of Pawsitively Saturated Ink Trios. I love the colors that are created when two colors blend together. The result looks like patterned paper!
Inks used: Cheeky, Melon, Lemonade, Sprout, Tidepool, Marine, Lilac
For the sentiment, I embossed a sentiment from the XL Greetings 3 set with gold embossing powder. I die-cut it with the coordinating die and attached it with foam adhesive. I tucked some gold thread behind the sentiment before adhering it down. Then, I finished my card with a few sequins from the Coral Burst Mix – also from the Dream Big release. I hope you like it!
