Hello, friends!

STAMPtember is officially here! It’s a month-long party that starts with a huge and fun release. I hope you’ll continue to see lots of inspiration as the month goes on and as collaborations kick off in a few days!

My card today features the Fern Corner die. It’s an A2-sized plate, including the border and is perfect for shaker cards. I die-cut three to stack them, but that was before I decided to turn it into a shaker. It’s ok though, because it just makes it sturdier.

For the top layer, I masked off the bottom and side where the ferns touch the frame to add color. I used Fairway ink for the young/swirling fern, then on the more mature stems, I used Aspen and Pine ink. To intensify the stalks, I used Cadette Ink. I adhered the layers of the Fern Corner die and adhered it over acetate to make my shaker window.

For the background, I ink-blended Fairway ink, concentrating more in the bottom left corner and blending it to the opposite corner and fading it lighter. I then splattered the panel to give it some texture before adding some Morning Glory sequins and adhering my shaker frame over it using foam adhesive. I finished today’s card by adding my Handwritten Hello sentiment that I die-cut from Matte Gold Cardstock and Vellum.
