It’s exciting day! We are welcoming a new Distress color to the Distress Family – LUMBERJACK PLAID! Be sure to check out the full collection at Simon Says Stamp. It’s all in house and shipping now!

This bright/pure red color is a perfect addition this holiday season! Are you curious how it compares to current reds? I have a swatch comparison for you!

I hope you can see it well. I think this color is closest to Festive Berries, but darker and more saturated. It’s a pure, deep red. I’m sure Tim Holtz will do a much better job comparing the colors than I can – so be sure to check out his YouTube LIVE!

My card today features the new Lumberjack Plaid color in Distress Ink. I ink-blended the color over white cardstock to show the color as purely as I could. I did darken the sides with Aged Mahogany and Black Soot ink as well to give it more interest.

After ink-blending, I stenciled on some bokeh bubbles using the Bokeh Lights stencil set with white pigment ink.Next, I embossed snowflakes and the sentiment using Snowflake Season and Snowflake Edges. The three large gold snowflakes are from Snowflake Season as well as a few smaller white snowflakes. The sentiment and the smaller snowflakes are from Snowflake Edges.
