My card today uses an embossing folder with a coordinating die called Antique Lamp! To make my card, I embossed the image with white paper. Then I die-cut the lamp using the coordinating die. You can color before you die-cut, but I die-cut then color. It’s completely up to you!

Copics:
Greens: G21, G24, G28, YG09
Reds: R35, R37, R39
Grays: C3, C5, C7
Flame: Y00, Y11, Y17, YR04
Candle: E41, Y00
Snow: B000

After coloring, I die-cut the snow pieces using the new Pawsitively Velvet paper. It adds a bit of texture and is super fun! I set my colored lamp aside to work on the background. To do this, I got another piece of white cardstock and ink-blended it with yellow and blue ink to create the glow from the lamp.

I then embossed the image again. To give my background more interest, I ink-blended again with a darker blue – this makes the snow pop even more! Then, I adhered my rainbow lamp over the embossed background. Since it’s embossed, you will know right where to add the lamp for perfect placement. I finished by attaching a sentiment strip from the Reverse Missing You at the Holidays Sentiment Strips.
