Today’s card combines some old and new and uses Stamping Foam from Simon Hurley. I’ve had them a while and as always, it takes me a while to work up the nerve to play with something new. If you haven’t used it before – it’s easy and such a fun technique. You heat up the foam, press it into anything that has a pattern (a stamp, embossing folder, etc.) and it takes on the impressed pattern. For today’s card, I pressed it into the Lace Heart Kaleidoscope cling stamp from Simon Says Stamp.

The impression on the stamp stays until it’s cleaned and heated up again, so you can reuse the foam over and over. I love that! The foam is not cleaned in the photo, so you can see it. I used a blending brush to add color to it and created a rainbow. You can spritz it with water for a watercolor look, but I stamped it as is onto a white panel.

For the focal point, I used the Oh Bunny stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp. I love these adorable bunnies and stamped them with the same inks on the background to create a row of pastel rainbow bunnies. I attached them to the background panel using foam adhesive for dimension. Then to give them some fun, I added some small pom poms for tails.

I finished my card today with a sentiment strip from the Reverse Wild About You Sentiment Strips. The Oh Bunny stamp set has lots of great sentiments, I just didn’t want to fuss with embossing and there was a sentiment perfect for this card in the sentiment strips set – soooo easy!
