My card today was on the Simon Says Stamp Blog and YouTube Channel a couple of days ago and I wanted to share it here with you too. It features the Bee Florals Window die. Hero Arts is well known for their window dies and this one is just beautiful. The best thing about it, in my opinion, is that there is a coordinating stencil set!
I started by ink-blending using the Bee Floral Stencils. You can certainly die-cut first, then ink-blend, but I was more worried about the ink not saturated all the curves of the die-cut areas than I was about lining up the die over the ink-blended frame.
Once the Bee Florals Window was die-cut over the ink-blended image, I used acetate to turn it into a shaker window. For a shaker background, I ink-blended some blue on a card base and hot foiled some honeycombs using the Honeycomb Hot Foil Plate.
This plate foils solid hexagons, but I wanted the outline. To get the outline, I used a Solid Hot Foil Plate and foiled the negative. I fussy-cut around it and chopped it up into three pieces to use it as accents through the shaker window.
I added some iridescent sequins to the top of my card base and then sealed the ink-blended Bee Florals Window over it using foam adhesive.. I embossed a sentiment from the Beelieve stamp set to finish my card.
