Hello!
It’s day 2 of the Hello Bluebird Release Showcase and today, we’re focusing on Skating Party and Skating Together. My card today uses critters from the Skating Party set and ironically…I didn’t use any of the skating images…ha! They’re the lazy bunch – or just the super cute ones relaxing with their cups o’ Joe.
As usual, I started by stamping and coloring my images using Copic markers. The following Copic colors were used: E40, E41, E55, BG11, BG34, BG13, BG49, V01, V12, V15, Y19, R30, R22, R20, R0000, W00, W1, 0, C3, C00, C6, E53, E25, E31. I cut the images and set them aside and worked on the background.
To create the background, I used the cloud die from the Grassy Knoll set and used it to cut an A2-sized card panel right in half. for the bottom half, I masked off the bottom and ink-blended with Tea Dye Distress Oxide Ink to create the ground. For the sky, I ink-blended Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, and Peacock Feathers.
Once done, embossed snowflakes all over the sky portion, then splattered the panel with some white ink. I pieced the two panels together and trimmed the panel to mat the cardbase. Then I adhered the images and a sentiment strip embossed in white over black cardstock. Thank you for stopping by again today!
