Hello again!
It’s Day 3 of the Hello Bluebird Release Showcase and we’re featuring the new Frosty Littles set. I love snowmen so I was pretty excited about this set. I had the idea of using the Gallery Frame #3 Die for this card and tried my best to create the card I had in mind.
I started by stamping and coloring these cute snowmen and accessories using Copic markers (Y11, E50, E31, E23, G00, G21, G24, G94, Y38, YR07, R20, B00, B0000, 0, C4, C6, R05, R39, G03, B12, B24, R85, R56). I cut them and set them aside to work on the background. I cut the Gallery Frame #3 Die out using white glitter cardstock and regular white cardstock…using one of for each frame to create some contrast and interest.
before adhering down the frames, I masked off the outer edges of the cardbase and ink-blended Cracked Pistachio, Spun Sugar, and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide inks in the center to add color to the windows. It was a bit bold for me, so I added a layer of vellum under the windows to mute the colors.
Then I began adhering the images all over to fill in the spaces and embossed a sentiment from Typed Christmas in white over black cardstock and centered it on the card to finish it. Oh the snowman are adorable and love the little scenes. The snowmen remind me of the snowman agenda from Mama Elephant. Are the snowman about 1.5″ high?
