Hi Friends! 

I’m here to share a card using Hello Bluebird’s Merry Greeters stamp set.  It’s a stamp set from last winter, but I love these little critters – the dies cut out around the hands and they can hold accessories!  

I started my card by stamping and coloring the images using Copic markers.  After coloring, I carefully lined up the dies to die cut the images and got lucky – the hands cut out perfectly around the image outlines!  I put the accessories in their hands and glued them in place.  I then used a white gel pen to add highlights to the images.

Copic colors used:  E40, E41, E31, E24, E27, R08, R24, R29, B01, B24, R20, BG11, BG34, G03, Y04, Y38, YR09, C00, C0, C2, C5, C8

To create the background, I ink-blended a white panel using Distress Oxide Inks.  I ink-blended from light to dark using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Abandoned Coral, and Wilted Violet.   I sprayed water droplets over the panel to remove ink, then I splattered the panel lightly with white ink.  

In order to create the sentiment, I die-cut the word “merry” using the Christmas Words Die #1 three times and adhered them together to create dimension.  I adhered it to the ink-blended panel towards the top, then added the critters below it.  The word Christmas is from the Merry Greeters stamp set and I stamped it on black cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder.

I hope you liked this card!  The background is a bit bolder than what I’m used to but I enjoyed making something a bit different.
