Hello and welcome to the Pinkfresh January Release Blog Hop I’m so glad you’re here – we’ve got tons of great products to share with you today and I’m excited to share a card made using the new Make a Wish stamp set! If you started from the beginning, you will have just come from Alix Davis’s blog.
This stamp-layering set was really fun for me to use! I love that you can create the beautiful cake and adorn them with fresh flowers and foliage! I used various inks to stamp my cakes, flowers, and foliage and die-cut them all to layer on the cake stand.
I used rose gold embossing powder to emboss the piping on the cake as well as the candle.
I assembled the cake and added foam tape to the back and I realized after that I wanted a soft frame to accent the image and the Oval Foliage Wreath is perfect! This die has a companion stamp set, but I only used it for the foliage wreath.
To complete my card, I added the cake to the wreath and matted it over a piece of soft pink cardstock. I pushed each leaf up a tad to reveal the pink layer underneath and to give it some extra color. For the sentiment, I decided to heat emboss that over a strip of vellum. To give it more contrast, I added a thinner strip of white cardstock underneath the vellum and added foam tape to it to be the same height as the cake.
