Hi, Friends!
I created another project for the next Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! I will have to admit – this one truly was a challenge for me. I don’t think I’m much of a party planner/decorator. Having people over? SURE! The more, the merrier…but decorating for a theme or planning activities is not my thing. But I pushed myself to rise to the occasion for this challenge and I think it turned out pretty cute!
School is officially over and my 2nd, Evan just turned 6. We had a casual gathering for him so it was low maintenance and no big deal. My oldest, Noah, just finished 6th grade and all of his friends are parting ways (we moved, one of them is going out of state, and due to school boundary changes for the next school year) – it’s quite sad for them! So we decided to get them all together for last party.
I wasn’t planning on decorating and thought it would be as casual as Evan’s party – but this will spruce it up a just a little!
I went through my Lawn Fawn stash and found the Smart Cookie set and instantly thought I’d do milk and cookies for the kids.
A few years ago, for Evan’s birthday, we did a donut party and I decorated for that (long gone, are those days!). I actually decorated it then using Lawn Fawn’s Donut Worry stamp set! You can see that ancient post HERE. CRINGE! LOL! Here’s a picture for you:
Anyway, I stamped 8 sets of images for the 8 kiddos for the party and colored them using Copic markers (R20, E21, E23, B0000, C3, C5, C7). I don’t have the dies, so I fussy cut – which isn’t too bad with the round cookie and straight lines of the graduation cap. Then I made belly bands for my milk jars using 1″ strips of gray cardstock.
To create my banner, I die-cut a little banner from the Magic Slider dies. It fit my sentiment perfect! I adhered the belly band to my bottles, then added the colored cookies/graduation caps, then the banner just behind that and let it hang free off the side. Some gray straws give it a finished look.
For display, I added a few cookies here and there and a stack of cookies beside the bottles. Big sigh of relief – because they enjoyed it and it’s another event checked off the list (anyone else feel relief after a planned get-together?). I know I’m not old…but I feel old…and maybe it’s also a mixture of anxiety about what others think and if they’re enjoying themselves in my home.
Anyway – I hope you enjoyed this cute project! I was actually featured on the Lawn Fawnatics blog with my last challenge card with the theme Spectacular Skies. You can check out that blog HERE to see my Upon A Star Pivot Pop-Up card if you missed it!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

What a great idea! The decorated milk bottles were super cute! Love the colors you chose. So sad for your son and his friends. But it looks like they had a blast at their end of the year gathering. Good job, Mom!
