It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge! For the next two weeks, the theme is Awesome Autumn!

I created my autumn card today using lots of dies and only the squirrels and sentiment using a stamp set – Pick of the Patch. I had made this card before getting the new Let’s Go Nuts set but that set would be adorable for creating a scene like this too! I colored my squirrels using Copics (E31, E33, E35, E39) and everything else is die-cut from patterned paper and cardstock.

I die-cut the Stitched Tree Borders using dark brown cardstock, then the Stitched Hillside Borders to go over that in green. To give the green more interest, I ink-blended over it with Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles Distress Oxide Inks. Then, The tree “blobs” are die-cut from the Knit Picky Fall patterned paper.

The sky portion is ink-blended with Dried Marigold and Tumbled glass before I layered the first tree border over it. At this point, I trimmed down my panel to mat an A2-sized cardbase. Then, I did the same with the remaining tree border piece and attached it to the previous layer using foam adhesive to give it more dimension.

I stamped my sentiment in the top right portion of the top layer before adhering the rest of the elements. To show my squirrels playing in a pile of leaves, I used the same patterned paper to die-cut leaves from the Leaf Tree Backdrop: Portrait die. There are lots of dimensions there and I hope it shows a fun, but quiet autumn scene!
