Hey Friends!

I’m sharing a set of Valentine’s cards today. I rarely make multiples but I couldn’t help it with a set like the C&9 Be Mine set – individual images with coordinating puns that called for multiples! You can see why below!

To begin, I stamped a fun background using the Scattered Hearts Turnabout stamp. I used C&9 gray, pinks and red inks for a Valentine’s theme (Dove, Ballet Slipper, Honey Suckle, Poppy). I was able to get 4 cards from 2 A2-sized panels. I trimmed them down to clean up the edges and to mat my 3.25″ x 4.25″ card bases – these fit well inside 4-bar or A4-sized envelopes.

Next, I stamped and colored the four images using Copic markers.

Reds/Pinks:  R01, R20, R21, R22, R24, R29
Yellows/Oranges:  Y00, Y04, Y15, Y38, YR18
Cream:  YR30, YR31
Greens:  YG13, YG05, YG09
Teal:  BG32
Blues:  B0000, B00, B01, B04, B06
Purple:  B04
Grays:  C0, C3, C5, C7

The Be Mine die comes with a nice decorative rectangle die, so I cut 4 and ink-blended with coordinating colors (Poppy, Aqua Sky, Butterscotch, Ballet Slipper) before stamping the sentiments and accessory images on each panel. I added some Copic coloring as needed on the stars and hears.

I finished by attaching my colored images with foam adhesive to give them dimension. I don’t think I could possibly make these for classroom parties but they are fun cards for teachers or friends! I hope you like them!
