Hey Friends!

Lawn Fawn’s Summer Release is here and I have a card to share using the new Scootin’ By set. We have adorable Lawn Fawn critters on scooters – who wouldn’t love that?

I stamped and colored my images with Copic markers.

Fox:  E11, E13, E15, E18, E000, E30, E33
Rabbit:  W1, W3, W5, W7
Mouse:  E41, E42, E43
Blush:  R20
Scooters: [BG11, BG32, BG34], [R32, R35, R39], [B21, B23, B24], [C1, C3, C5, C7]
Road dashes:  Y00

My background is first ink-blended with Salvaged Patina and Mowed Lawn, then I used the Grassy Hillside Stencils to add a darker layer of ink using Rustic Wilderness. I splattered the panel with Rustic Wilderness ink and white paint to give it texture. I die-cut the Road Border using black cardstock and backed it with white cardstock simply colored with a Y00 Copic marker.

I finished by adhering the road, and then the critters with their scooters using foam adhesive. I wanted the sentiments to stand out, but thought I had enough black on my card, so I ink-blended some white cardstock using the Salvaged Patina ink and stamped the sentiments over that. I hope you like it!

You might notice that my card is very similar to Elena Roussakis’ card. I assure you we both came up with very similar designs independently! We did not see each other’s cards until previews happened last week. What are the chances!? Anyway, I wanted to clear that up in case anyone was wondering!
