I’m on the Lawn Fawn Blog today and wanted to share my project with you here too. I have a video linked below too! I hope you enjoy today’s project. It was quick and gave me such happy thoughts. I used the Happy Hugs set to create a soft and dreamy card.
I started first by coloring the images of the critters from the Happy Hugs set. It was a very quick color – I’d never complain about that!
Fox: E11, E13, E15, E17, E000, E53
Squirrel: E30, E33, E35, E37
Bunny: W1, W3, W5, W7
Blush: R20

Next, I ink-blended my panels. I used the Cloudy Stencil to ink on some Salvaged Patina for my background. On a separate piece of scrap, I ink-blended Peacock Feathers without the Cloudy Stencil. I wanted it to be a little darker and have texture to make it different from the full card background. I sprayed it with water droplets to give it texture. The Grassy Border was used to cut two green pieces from the Watercolor Wishes Petite Paper Pack. I ink-blended it with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink to give it some color before adhering it over the sky panels.
Next, I worked on my thought bubble. I die-cut my smaller scene using the Outside In Stitched Thought Bubble Stackables. To frame it, I used the Stitched Thought Bubble Frames and die-cut the largest thought bubble frame using Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock. I attached the critters on their panels, adhered the large thought ubble to the top of my card, then attached my floating bubbles.
My sentiment is embossed from the Happy Hugs stamps set. I cut it apart to make the HUG word stand out by replacing it with die-cut letters using Oliver’s Stitched ABCs. I used a sheet of pink patterned paper from the Watercolor Wishes Petite Paper Pack. I ink-blended it with Worn Lipstick to create an ombre look. I finished by attaching my sentiment and adding white gel highlights to my images.
