The Simon Says Stamp December 2021 Santa’s Helpers Card Kit is here! It features the new 6″ x 8″ Santa’s Helpers stamp set along with Crafter’s Consortium Made By Elves patterned paper as well as 3D decoupage sheets and many more goodies!

I created a card using the Santa’s Helpers stamp set so let’s talk about that first.

To create my card, I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers.

Reds:  R32, R35, R39
Oranges:  YR000, YR00, YR01, YR02, YR04
Greens:  G43, G02, G05, G09
Teals:  BG32, BG53, BG57
Blues:  B000, B01, B04
Pinks:  RV11, RV13, RV14
Skin:  R20, E000, E51, E11
Browns:  E31, E34, E37
Grays:  C0, C2, C5, C6, C8

When I was done coloring, I fussy cut around the images to adhere over an ink-blended background that I ink-blended lightly with Ocean Pawsitively Saturated Ink. After adhering my images using foam adhesive squares from the kit, I stamped my sentiment with the same ink, then splattered it with white paint to make it look like snow. I also added a thin layer of the Tim Holtz Ranger Icicle Distress Crackle Paste at the bottom of the snowman too (also inside the kit!)

This set is adorable and I can’t wait to see what others do with it! I have to mention that the colors are inspired by the Crafter’s Consortium patterned paper and 3D Decoupage included in this kit. I love that the stamp sets and patterned paper from these kits always coordinate so well together!! Speaking of the Made By Elves 3D Decoupage pages, there are 5 included in the kit. I’ve never seen one before and don’t even know if I used them correctly! They are sheets of heavy cardstock (maybe chipboard) images with layers of certain repeat images that stack to create dimension. I stacked each layer with the foam squares from the kit and did all 5 designs and turned them into easel cards.

My cards are 4″ x 4″. To make my easel cards, I scored a 4″ x 8″ white panel at 2″ and at 4″. I folded the card bases in half first at the 4″ mark, then again at 2 inches. Next, I adhered the finished decoupage panels only at the bottom 2″ of the card bases. That way, they lift to create an easel.

I used the same Ocean Pawsitively Saturated Ink on the insides of all the cards using sentiments from the Santa’s Helpers stamp set. These photos aren’t doing these cards justice because there are 5 layers to some of the areas! It’s so fun and I think it would be great for kids to make since there’s no coloring involved!
