It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge and I think you’ll love it! We’re focusing on Holiday Critters – what’s not to love? Lawn Fawn has such great sets to choose from!

For my card today, I’m using two stamp sets I’ve never used before: Here We Go A-Waddling and Christmas Dreams. These penguins are similiar to the new ones from the Party Penguins set for a slightly different, but still holiday-themed card if you have that set.

I stamped and colored the images from both sets using Copic markers. The Christmas tree is the only image from the Christmas Dreams set.

Reds:  R32, R35, R37
Oranges:  YR01, YR04
Yellows:  Y00, Y11, YR24, YR27
Greens:  [YG06, YG09], [G21, G24, G28]
Teals:  BG10, BG11, BG13
Blues:  [BG0000, BG01, BG05], [B21, B24, B28]
Grays/Penguins:  C0, C2, C4, C6, C8, R20 (blush)
Browns: E30, E33, E35, E37

After coloring, I die-cut the images and began working on my background. I laid out my images on a slimline panel and once I knew where I wanted my tree and lamps, I ink-blended the panel with Distress Oxide Inks. I started with Squeezed Lemonade to add a glow on the lamps and tree topper. Then, I ink-blended around that with Mermaid Lagoon. To add more depth, I added Blueprint Sketch as well. Next, I stenciled on some snowflakes from the Snowflake Background Stencils set. I only used one stencil and only stenciled on the smaller snowflakes using Yeti Ink.

To finish today’s card, I attached my images to the slimline card panel after trimming it down to mat a cardbase. I attached a few images directly to the card panel and the rest with foam adhesive to give it more dimension. I also stamped some music notes and the sentiments in a crisp black ink directly onto the card panel.
