Simon Says Stamp – Limited Edition 2021 Gift of Christmas Tag Kit

Simon Says Stamp is making sure you’re prepared for the holidays with the Limited Edition 2021 Gift of Christmas Tag Kit!

As implied, this kit is all about tags, but you still have all the goodies you’d normally have in a kit – a stamp, stencil, die, cardstock and more! Be sure to check out the kit contents at the end of this post!

For my tags today, I used several things from the kit to create 3 different tags. The main images on all three tags are from the Gift of Christmas stamp set. This 6″ x 8″ stamp has holiday images and lots of sentiments that are perfect for tags! I stamped and colored the images using Copic markers.

Reds: R32, R35, R37, R39
Oranges: YR61, YR65, YR68
Greens: G12, G14, G17, G24, G28
Blues: B0000, B000, B01, B23, B24, B29
Grays: C2, C4, C6, C8

On the kraft tag, I inked the Christmas Star Stencil using white pigment ink. Then I attached my image and the sentiment. The sentiment is stamped using Lipstick Red ink and punched out with a 1″ circle punch, but you can also use a die if you have a circle die. The white tag is equally simple because I used a pre-made tag provided in the kit. I stamped the sentiments on top and below the colored image using the same Lipstick Red ink before attaching the wreath image I colored.

For my final tag at the center, I used the Scalloped Gift Tags die. There are two tag dies and I used the larger one to accomdate the image I colored. I die-cut it once from the Paper Rose Winter Gathering double-sided 6×6 inch paper and once more using a white piece of cardstock to butt them together to make the tag more sturdy. The patterned paper gives it a nice background that coordinates with my image.

To finish my tags, I fed the May Arts Gold Sheer Glitter Dot Ribbon through the holes at the top of each tag and secured it with a piece of red and white twine. It’s simple but the extra twine gives it another level of fun. I hope you like it and are inspired to create som beautiful tags this season!
