Hi Friends!

I hope you’re excited for tonight/today’s DieCember release!!! December is all about fun dies and today, I’m using 3 of many wonderful new dies on my card. My card today features the Stylized Butterfly, Privet Branch, and Detail Pincushion Plate.

I die-cut the Detail Pincushion Plate from white cardstock and adhered it over a piece of A2 Rainbow Holographic Paper. You can see it better in the next two photos. Next, I set this aside to work on my Stylized Butterfly. The Stylized Butterfly comes as a stencil and as a die! I die-cut the Stylized Butterfly Die using Matte Gold Cardstock to outline the beautiful butterfly image.

Using the Stylized Butterfly Stencil, I ink-blended a rainbow using Simon Says Stamp dye inks: Teeny Bikini, Lemon Chiffon, High Dive, Deep Purple. To layer underneath the die, I fussy-cut around the outer edges of the ink-blending and adhered it under the outlined die-cut using liquid adhesive only at the body of the butterfly.

I die-cut the Privet Branch from white and vellum cardstock to layer them for interest and adhered it over the background panel I created and attached my butterfly with foam adhesive where the ends of the branches meet. To finish, I cut down a sentiment strip from the Reverse Happy Sentiment Strips set. I hope you like it!
