Today’s DieCember feature is the Party Candle die! I love a simple die and party candles are so much fun! I die-cut a BUNCH to make a colorful background.

All the cardstock I used is from Simon Says Stamp (Doll Pink, Sunshine, Banana, Green Apple, Audrey Blue, Island Blue, Lavender). I die-cut two candles in each color and pieced the parts together. For the flames, I also added a few flicks of the YR02 marker to darken the flames.

For the background, I trimmed a piece of Ivory cardstock to mat an A7 (5″ x 7″) cardbase and then I filled the panel up with my colorful candles and their flames. I attached each one with foam adhesive to give it lots of dimension. I also ink-blended each candle with a coordinating ink to give it some shading.

I finished with a DieCember die- It’s Your Birthday. I die-cut the words in black cardstock and the halo in vellum to layer them together and adhered it right over the candles on the background I created.
