Hello again!

I have another DieCember card to share with you! I hope you’ve been inspired by the projects shared here. There are so many great new dies and I think they’re all wonderfully versatile. Today’s card can be used for any occasion and you can really use any sentiment! The Vine Background die nearly covers an entire A2-sized panel and makes for a great background with large open petals/leaves.

I die-cut it twice – once in white, and another in gold to offset and adhere together for a drop-shadow effect. for the background, I simply ink-blended opposite corners with green and pink ink using Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Blush and Sprout. I trimmed this panel down to mat my A2-sized cardbase, then adhered the Vine Background over it with liquid adhesive.

My sentiment uses the new Just Because die. I die-cut paper stripes and created a background for the words using Simon Says Stamp cardstock (Green Leaf, Green Apple, Lemon Chiffon, Banana, Sunshine, Orange Peel, Lipstick Red, Doll Pink, Cotton Candy). The background is die-cut with vellum. I adhered the words right over the vellum layer and used foam adhesive to adhere the entire sentiment over the background.

To finish today’s card, I added some sequins and used Lucy’s Cards Lullaby mix. The soft greens and pinks in this mix were perfect for the ink-blended areas and there were some clear white sequins in there as well.

This card is super simple – sometimes that’s all you need for a die-cut only card – just a few pops of color. I hope you like it! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
