The first card kit for 2022 is here! Since we’re still technically in the thick of winter, the Warmest Wishes January 2022 Card Kit is perfect to me! I always saw snowflakes are good all winter!

As usual, this kit comes with a variety of things to create a multitude of cards. I created two today using the main contents of the card kit so let’s dive right in!

My first card uses the Warmest Wishes 6″ x 8″ stamp set. I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers. I usually share the Copic combinations I use, but I kept it simple for this card and didn’t write them down. When done, I fussy cut the images, but there are dies too, I just don’t have them.

For the background, I used a piece of Starry Night patterned paper from La-La Land Crafts (included in the card kit). To give it some differentiation from the top and bottom, I ink-blended around the top of the panel with Ocean Pawsitively Saturated Ink.

I adhered my trees directly to the ink-blended patterned paper panel and they layered my snowmen in front of the trees to create some perspective. I used foam adhesive on the two foremost snowmen too. My sentiment is stamped and embossed from the Warmest Wishes stamp set.

My second card is created using the Warmest Wishes stamp set (sentiment), the Scattered Snowflakes stencil, and the Faceted Snowflakes embossing folder. I began by stenciling the Scattered Snowflakes onto a white panel using Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Surf, Blush, and Bubblegum. Next, I used the Faceted Snowflakes embossing folder to emboss the snowflakes for more interest and texture.

Next, I stamped a sentiment over vellum. I used a black pigment ink and embossed it with clear embossing folder and wrapped it around the top 1/3 portion of my card. I finished by adding some iridescent bubbles over snowflakes throughout.
