Simon Says Stamp – You Mean the World To Me

Hi Friends!

Early this morning, Simon Says Stamp released a Limited Edition Card Kit. I shared a card using alcohol inks and the large stamp set included.

Today’s card uses the smaller elements from the kit, including the Layered Butterfly stencils, Flower Bundle dies, and the You Mean the World To Me dies.

I started with the Layered Butterfly stencils and ink-blended a rainbow blend of colors using only 4 Pawsitively Saturated Ink ink pads: Blush, Lemonade, Surf, Sweets. To get the darker colors, I just ink-blended with a heavier hand with more ink.

Next, I ink-blended a white panel in the same ink colors to die-cut the You Mean the World To Me die from. I die-cut it’s halo/border using vellum because I wanted the butterfly background to show through. Before adhering the layers down, I added some white foliage stems from the Flower Bundle dies.

It was a complete coincidence that I found a piece of patterned paper from the kit with a similar floral pattern and in similar colors as the butterflies I ink-blended. So cool! I finished my card today by adding a few sequins. I hope you like it! I’ll list the kit contents below so you can see all the cool things in it.
