Hello there!

Today, I’m sharing a paper-pieced card using the Lovely Layers Tulips dies from Honey Bee Stamps. I love floral dies so I had a great time making this card. I’ve always loved seeing cards with gray backgrounds and wanted to try it today too.

I die-cut the foliage from green cardstock and the stamen from yellow cardstock, but the rest of the flowers are all die-cut from white cardstock and ink-blended with Pawsitively Saturated Inks. I used reds, pinks, purples and yellows for my flowers. After ink-blending all the layers, I adhered them together with liquid glue.

I roughly laid out my flowers and foliage over the gray slimline panel and once I was happy with the layout, I started adhering things down from the top. Once everything was adhered in place, I splattered the panel with white paint.

I used the Bitty Buzzwords stamp and die for my sentiment. I die-cut the word hello from gold glitter cardstock and vellum and then embossed the “sweet friend” to adhere to the card using foam tape. I finished my card by adding some Nuvo glitter over the tops of the stamen of the two larger flowers.
