We’re halfway through Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! Every day, we highlight a few products. Today’s projects feature the Stitched Wavy Backdrop Portrait and the Stitched Wavy Backdrop Landscape dies.

I turned the two Stitched Wavy Backdrop dies into beach backdrops by ink-blended the top in blue for the ocean and the bottom in brown for the sand.

I used Distress Oxide inks in Vintage Photo, Salvaged Patina, and Salty Ocean. After blending the ink, I stippled the sand with Copic markers in three different shades of brown to add texture. I finished my background by splattering it with some white paint.

Both of my cards use images from the same stamp sets – Pool Party and On the Beach. I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers, then created similar scenes on both my cards. So it’s really a matter of preference whether you like portrait or landscape cards (and it’s never wrong to like both)!

To create my scenes, I tucked a few images behind the sand and then attached beach critters and their towels using foam adhesive. The other images are adhered with liquid adhesive directly to the card.

I cleaned up the sides of the ink-blended Stitched Wavy Backdrop panels by adding a Stitched Rectangle Frame to both cards. Then, I stamped and embossed the sentiments and attached them to my cards using foam adhesive as well for dimension.
