I recently got to go the Simon Says Stamp headquarters for some STAMPtember fun and got to teach a quick card and I wanted to share the card I made for that class. The key was to make an easy stamped card and I wanted to make one that was simple and colorful.
The background cling stamp I used for my card is called Delicate Floral Mandala. It’s gorgeous and I love the sketchy feel to it. I placed it in my MISTI and centered a white panel to stamp. To apply the color, rather than apply direct ink to stamp, I used finger daubers to help keep all the color transitions seamless.
I started with the center and worked my way out, only using 4 ink pads. The colors blend together to create the full rainbow. I stamped Rose at the center, then I used Sunbeam and overlapped into the Rose to create the orange. Then I applied Cadette blue and allowed it to overlap with the yellow to create the green. Then I finished with Taffy ink for my final color.
I die-cut a simple sentiment using the CZ Hello wafer die from vellum and Matte Gold Cardstock. Then, I finished by embellishing my card with a few iridescent sequins. I hope you like it! I think you could whip out a quick card like this last minute easily! It’s fun and colorful and sure to make someone smile!
